The Persian lime is a remarkable citrus fruit renowned for its vibrant flavor and versatility in culinary applications. It is believed to have originated from the warm regions of Iran, hence its name, and it has become a beloved staple in cuisines around the world.
This lime has smooth, thin, and bright green skin and when sliced open, its juicy and acidic flesh releases a refreshing burst of citrus aroma. The tangy flavor of the Persian lime strikes a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, making it a favorite ingredient for cocktails, dressings, marinades, desserts, and countless other culinary creations.
With proper care and favorable growing conditions, this small to medium-sized evergreen tree can thrive and provide a bountiful harvest of tangy limes.
Plant Care
This plant prefers well-draining soil that is nutrient dense and has good moisture-holding capacity. High nitrogen demands. Provide regular watering throughout flowering and fruiting season. Place the plant in a slightly shady spot.
When you receive your plant, we suggest amending your soil with coco coir or coco perlite to keep your mix fluffy and make the best environment for the roots to establish and grow healthy.

Grafted plant, produces fruit within 1 year with proper care.

Self-fertilizes. Better with second plant.

Ideal Minimum: 15 C
Minimum Tolerated (briefly): 10 C
Shipping
Please note that all plants are trimmed/pruned for shipping. Roots are wrapped and kept moist with a substrate mix that can be shaken off for planting.
