The Noni, or "cheese fruit" as some call it, is characterized by its pungent, cheesy smell. The fruit is medium to large (10-18 cm in length), bumpy, and oblong. It starts as green and gradually turns yellow or white as it ripens.
Although it does not have a typically tropical fruity smell, it is highly sought after for its potential health benefits.
Plant Care
The tree is relatively low-maintenance and can survive drought conditions.
Noni trees thrive in warm spaces and are tolerant of different soil types, including sandy, rocky, and volcanic soils. They prefer full sun exposure but can tolerate some shade.
When you receive your plant, we suggest amending your soil with coco coir or coco perlite to keep your mix fluffy and make the best environment for the roots to establish and grow healthy.
- Propagation Method: Grown from seed, can produce fruit within 2-3 years with proper care.
- Fertility: Self-fertilizes.
Shipping
Please note that all plants are trimmed/pruned for shipping. Roots are wrapped and kept moist with a substrate mix that can be shaken off for planting.
**Please note that you will need a container and potting soil to pot your plants upon arrival.**
