Also known as Rose Apple, Malaysian Apple, and Pommerac.
The Malay apple tree is a beautiful addition to any tropical garden. This tropical fruit tree can grow up to 60 feet in height in the wild, but can remain low and dense when planted in containers.
This plant boasts spectacular flowers that resemble fabulous magenta fireworks all over the tree and creates a magical ground cover as it sheds petals. The fruit is crispy and juicy, and usually matures 60 days after flowering and should be hand-picked for best results.
Plant Care
Malay Apple trees enjoy well-drained soil, so stay away from arid or wet, mucky soils. This tree requires 80-100% sunlight. It requires warm and humid conditions for optimal growth.
When you receive your plant, we suggest amending your soil with coco coir or coco perlite to keep your mix fluffy and make the best environment for the roots to establish and grow healthy.
