Treat your taste buds to the rare and delicious flavours of a Monstera Deliciosa Fruit - the exotic treat of tropical summers! Just remember to wait until it's ripe before indulging - otherwise it won't be quite as yummy! *Drools*
Did you know that the Monstera Deliciosa plant bears fruit? Well, it does and it is DELICIOUS! This plant is native to Central America, but it has made its way across the globe. Our Monstera Deliciosa are grown freely in the mountains of the Dominican Republic.
Flavor: It has been described as a delicious pineapple/banana/insert fruits flavor similar to candy. This can vary per person, but it is sure worth a try! It is juicy, sweet, and tangy, with a mango/pineapple-like texture.
How to eat: The fruit starts to ripen at the stalk-end and gradually ripens in sections towards the tip. For best results, place the fruit tip-down in a jar or glass and allow it to ripen on a counter until the scales fall off naturally. Once the scales are off, you can eat the tasty white pulp below.
You might only be able to eat a small section per day while it is ripening, but that's part of the experience :).
For the love of everything that is good, ONLY EAT THE FRUIT WHEN IT IS RIPE.
CAUTION 1: Eating the fruit before it is ripe can cause extreme throat irritation.
CAUTION 2: Eating the fruit when it is ripe can cause extreme satisfaction and happiness. :)
Shipping
