Mosquito Bits contain a naturally occurring soil bacterium called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), which is toxic to mosquito larvae when they ingest it. This same bacterium can also be effective against fungus gnat larvae when used as a soil drench.
To use Mosquito Bits to control fungus gnats:
1. Brew the Mosquito Bits in water as per the instructions on the package.
2. Once brewed, strain out the solid particles and use the infused water to water your plants. Make sure to saturate the soil thoroughly.
3. The Bti in the water will kill the fungus gnat larvae present in the soil without harming your plants.
This method can be effective in controlling fungus gnats, but it's important to note that it may not completely eliminate the problem, especially if the infestation is severe. Combining this method with other control measures like using yellow sticky traps can help achieve better results.
Features:
- 2 packs, each with 6 dunks
- 6 dunks per pack
