Coco Coir
Coco Coir
Our premium organic Coco Coir is washed and ready to use! Add it to your potting mix to increase water and nutrient retention. It is also wonderful for seed starting and growing microgreens. If you are looking for a fully coco-based mix, check out our Potting Mix.
If you forget to water your plants or want to reduce your watering frequency, this is the stuff you need!
This all-natural, 2L bag of pure coco coir can be used for all types of indoor plants and is enough to fill up one 5" and one 3” pot, or a bit more than a 7" planter when used on its own. If used as a soil amendment, you will be able to fill more pots depending on how much of the other soils you use.

To use for seed starting, just add some water to moisten the mix and place your seeds. Water as needed.
If you're using it as part of your potting mix, add the amount that you need, mix well, and moisten. Don't forget to add nutrients to your mix or use our nutrient-rich Potting Mix for optimal plant health.
Benefits
Coco coir offers many benefits for you and your plants:
🥥 Water & Nutrient Retention: Coco coir holds up to 8 times its weight in water and releases it to your plants as needed.
🥥 Weed & Pathogen Free: Our coco coir is free of pathogens, pests, and diseases making it a great option for delicate processes like seed germination or growing microgreens. It's also a treat for your houseplants!
🥥 Excellent Aeration: Coco coir improves air porosity making it an excellent addition to your potting mix for healthy root development. It's also great for seed germination.
🥥 Pet-friendly: Coco coir is all-natural and non-toxic to your furry family members (cats, dogs, hairy Uncle Tom, etc.).
🥥 100% Organic: Our products have no added inorganic supplements or chemicals. Only our Potting Mix has added worm castings* providing a healthy dose of nutrients. See our FAQ page for more information about worm castings.
🥥 Eco-friendly: Coco coir comes from coconut husk (the outer part of the coconut) which is a renewable and sustainable resource. The best part is that the environment is not disturbed when the coconut is harvested, unlike other soil-based growing mediums.
🥥 More Resistant to Mold: Coco coir is naturally inert (nutrient-free) which makes it more resistant to mold, fungus and pests.
